Where I bought it: The Dress Theory
Dress Story: I was getting married on the edge of a canyon, so I wanted a dress that would go well with the landscape – nothing too fancy, but something simple and elegant. It was also very important to me that my dress was lightweight and could move in the breeze. I had my dream dress in my head, but each dress I tried on fell short. I was on my way to my sixth bridal appointment, when I ran into a friend who had recently gotten married. I shared my frustrations and struggles with her, and she told me to go to The Dress Theory. I hadn’t booked an appointment there yet, as their lowest prices were at the top end of my budget, but I called them anyways. Miraculously, they had a cancellation for later that day that was mine if I wanted it. My mom, sister and I headed to the shop while I feverishly browsed their website to see if any dresses stood out me. When I arrived, I have one in mind that I wanted to try: Sarah Seven’s Lorelei gown. It was the first one I tried on, and it was perfect. As I stood in front of the mirror, a petite woman came around the corner, gasped, and started crying. I completely lost it. Turns out, it was Sarah Seven herself! There was a trunk show happening, which meant my dress was 15% off – putting it just under my budget. It was too good to be true! I didn’t take it off for the rest of the appointment. I had found the one.
