A $16,299 Maui Lahaina Loft Wedding (140 Guests)
We had to meet a minimum of $12,000 between food and drinks, we decided on the $85 per person option (invoice below)
We ended up having 135 guests, the venue/ restaurant did all the food!
We loved using the restaurant as a venue, made things much more intimate and personal, as it was a place we loved going to and had a great relationship with.
Mikhail shot for 1/2 his usual time (4 hours) and we covered his accommodations.
We had an open bar with selection of beers, wine and mixed cocktails! The bar tab at the end of the night was $12,000 and we gave a $4,000 tip for all the staff who worked the event all day.
Devan really really wanted something more personal for the ceremony and loves acapella, found this great local college group, they were fabulous and inexpensive!
Got our makeup done at Sephora randomly and ended up hiring him and his partner for the day of our wedding. Included makeup for our moms and sisters as well.
We decided on doing the flowers ourselves because the florists on the Cape were so expensive, I also wanted to make the vases for a personal touch. We assembled the flowers the night before and the morning of the wedding which looking back was a bit chaotic, but with lots of family help it worked out.
Lots of DIY Decor, Signs, handmade pottery vases for flowers to cut cost.
Holloway Gown- From BHLDN
Willow by by Watters Hearst Gown- From BHLDN
I think we would have been more mindful of dress cost, and done a little more research about dresses. At the end of the day the alterations were sooooo expensive because the dresses from BHLDN did not have a lot of structure to them. I wish we knew more about places to purchase dresses other than BHLDN.
-At the end of the day we wish we had just paid to get our hair done.
-We had our friends host a morning of the wedding workout on the beach, and it was one of our favorite activities and was led by friends so no cost!
-Having a summer wedding in PTOWN was challenging in many ways, mostly because they do not do a ton of weddings in the summer because of how many tourists they get. We had to do A LOT of research and spent hours trying to find options for places people could stay. One really great thing was how easy it is to get around, so we did not have to supply any type of transportation once people landed in PTOWN.
–Every little choice we made was very personal, and made together, we think that every little element was intentional. P-town is our favorite place on earth and we knew everyone would have a great time there and could make a little weekend out of our event. We made sure to list all of our favorite spots on our wedding website and fill the weekend with activities like: A dune hike the day before, a welcome party the night before, a morning beach workout, Wave Bar for the after party, and lots of options in terms of places to check out that we loved!
-It was a little difficult to find night before venues, just because PTOWN is always packed so they don’t need to book events, but we got really lucky with Harbor lounge, and they were super flexible, not charging a fee for the space and letting us bring in our own food! Same with the after wedding party, on that night there was no cover so we just gave them a heads up that a party of 50 would be heading over after the wedding!
